This is a complete misunderstanding of what I said, which is that I wouldn't be shocked if GTA6 *does* come out this fall, following the same delay pattern as RDR2.
Of course another delay is possible. It's a video game. But this blog post is very misleading (just reach out to me - it's not hard!)

I saw Altman speak once (I was there for basketball related reasons) and I couldn’t get over how little value everything he was saying had. He was asked questions and somehow had the most boring, meandering, thoughtless answers. It makes perfect sense he’d use ChatGPT for parenting.

10000% this. A lot of the "indies will save us" crowd are looking ONLY at the continuation of the games themselves and/or their artistry/innovation, not the livelihoods of the devs or even the sustainability of the *industry.* Those are ENTIRELY SEPARATE things.
I get really irked when I see people post “indies will save us” or “the laid off devs should go indie” THERE IS NO MONEY publishers are cancelling contracts, angel investors/venture capital don’t want small returns. I think they mean hobbyists with a day job working doubletime & that is a rough ask
