Are there any gearheads on BkueSky? Those into modifying/tuning cars? A before and after of an intake manifold. 😉

The same intake manifold after modifications. Factory throttle is cut off with a band saw, ports are removed and manifold is welded up to replace the holes with new material.

The funniest thing about nativity scenes is that according to The Bible the 3 wise men didn’t show up until Jesus was likely 2 years old (not a newborn).

So-called Christians can’t even get that detail right. No wonder they get everything else wrong (feed the starving, house the poor…).

Stellantis makes terrible vehicles and as an automotive company they’re likely the first to disappear regardless of where they’re located.

I’d be more worried if Honda, Toyota, Ford or GM closed up shop.

I’m all for stopping alcohol purchases (and other products) but they should target specific states. I see no reason to punish California wine producers.

For example, vaccines or Tylenol cause Autism, living near power lines causes cancer or using a cell phone causes brain tumors. There are a LOT of people who claim they can prove these are true. Doesn’t mean they’re right.

I want to see peer-reviewed studies by scientists, not anecdotes.

…bright or cause glare, but these are defects based on construction/assembly and not the type of light source (LED vs Xenon vs Halogen). They also represent a fraction of all vehicles on the road.

The language in this article sounds awfully familiar to other “issues” that have been debunked.

There’s not enough time in the day for me to address all the lies and misinformation in this article. It’s basically a bunch of personal anecdotes and vague quotes.

Full disclosure: I’ve spent years working with Transport Canada and ICBC doing various types of accident/vehicle investigations.

That’s a new one on me. So you’re claiming companies are doing with lights what VW did with diesel emissions? By changing operation if they know they’re being checked?

Nothing wrong with LED lights. This is the same flawed argument made when Xenon lights first came out.

The problem isn’t the type of light. The issue is with improperly aimed headlights or modified headlights (people install extra bright LED lights into vehicles not originally equipped with them).

Yeah, except it will do nothing to convince Danielle Smith to do anything. She’s firmly committed to her niche base of separatists. Even if they mobilized 50% of voters she’d still find some way to ignore the data.

Being a recently converted commuter (from train/bus to e-scooter) I can attest to bad behavior on multi-use paths. Music is just one. Another is flying by pedestrians (or worse, dogs) at full speed.

In my experience the worst offenders are touring bike riders. They NEVER slow/stop for signs/lights.

…as I like to help out small businesses. Quality was poor and I felt bad thinking they’re not going to last 6 months in this neighborhood with two major competitors.

Yet several years later they’re still operating. Go figure.

Doesn’t have to be something “fancy”. I see lots of these in Vancouver with the most common being restaurants.

There are 3 bubble-tea places near me. Two are constantly busy (major chains) with both customers and delivery drivers. The third is empty (independent).

Tried the independent shop once…

At some point a perpetrator is going to come clean and spill what they know to cut a deal. He might as well be the first.

People like it when someone admits what they did and apologizes for it. Doesn’t mean he’s suddenly going to be liked by people again but he can at least partially redeem himself.
