Hey, new followers.

I’m Daniel. I’m a postulant (priest-in-training) from the Episcopal Diocese of New York and I’m at seminary in Alexandria, Virginia.

I’m originally from England and despite that wasn’t Anglican until about 4 years ago.

I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and support reproductive rights.
Going to bat away your Romans 13 prooftext with a little help from Acts 5:29.

we must rejoice as well, for surely this is the first time in our nation's history that a significant number of its religious leaders have chosen to move beyond the prophesying of smooth patriotism to the high grounds of a firm dissent based upon the mandates of conscience and the reading of history

Sort by value is the most primitive computing task I can think of.
Pharmacy machine uses "barcode recognition to identify an item, pick it up and send it down a chute... Using AI, the robot is also able to automatically prioritise medication with the shortest expiry date". How is any of that AI? It's just barcode automation

Saw an Episcopal church with a Galatians 3:28 sign outside of it. And I just want to say... beautiful passage, love the theology, we in the church know what it means.

But to the passerby "THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK" might read differently! 📕

Bible nerds: In your opinion, can something be canon-by-proxy?

e.g. the Book of Enoch is not canon, but are the parts of Enoch cited by the Letter of Jude canon?

Did Americans used to have a better/more nuanced understanding of Protestant denominations?

We’re watching Cheers and there are several jokes that I don’t think 95% of people would get today. Eg. Woody has a episode-long crisis after finding out his Lutheran fiancée is ELCA because he’s LCMS.

In the last month I’ve seen at least three clergy positions open up that were formerly filled by a newly-ordained person/curate that are now seeking “an experienced priest”. 📕

After watching the Stranger Things finale I’m of the opinion that it would have been a classic piece of television if it had stuck to the original 8 episode limited mini-series vision.

My dream is to do this with church stuff in TV and movies. It’s always wrong and I always annoy my wife pointing it out.
I did some uncredited work as a “military consultant” on early seasons of “Army Wives.” Mainly fixed uniform and appearance stuff in the background.
