Hey, new followers.

I’m Daniel. I’m a postulant (priest-in-training) from the Episcopal Diocese of New York and I’m at seminary in Alexandria, Virginia.

I’m originally from England and despite that wasn’t Anglican until about 4 years ago.

I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and support reproductive rights.
broke: justification by faith plus work
woke: justification by faith alone
bespoke: justification by work alone

This whole thing!
I've gotten to the point of my ministry career where I just want to say: if you don't believe God wants us to exist in the future, that God will bring the Church into the future, then get out of my way ⚓

Bible alone is of itself a nonsense, but historically, not anything close to an Anglican position.
The new Anglican structure announced yesterday claims that the church must be built on the Bible alone as the foundation. But that very book says something else: “For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 3:11).

Lord Jesus, heal your church. ⚓️
We all thought Jesus translated to God saves but what if we got it mixed up and it’s Save God?
Eric Trump: "We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window, Benny. You no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell. All of this is dead."

Broke: young people like conservative Christianity

Woke: young people like progressive Christianity

Bespoke: The Book of Common Prayer 1979 of the Episcopal Church represents conservative Christianity in every way that matters (sacraments, Creed), and progressive young people like it

Many Gen-Zers “bring a new attitude to the combination of faith and politics, and many see politics as a matter of spiritual warfare,” writes Daniel K. Williams, a historian of American religion and politics.

And what that might mean for the future of American politics.

Per our canons, an Episcopal priest has that same authority plus the authority to move furniture and that’s really it.
Since by man came death from Messiah
KS considers thoughts of God to be prayer. And it definitely shows in her work.
That has been my experience also. I'm very lucky to work for the Center for Anglican Communion Studies at VTS and to host our visiting bishops. So many wonderful servants.
"it disregards the conviction of the majority of Anglicans who cannot accept female headship in the episcopate"

Nigeria can pitch a fit if they want but the majority of Anglicans are in provinces that allow women bishops. Including several GAFCON provinces.
Monstrances/eucharistic adoration is not really my jam.

But I'm here for bringing Christ to the protest.
Outside of the Broadview ICE facility, a state trooper tells the delegation attempting to have communion with detainees that ICE has denied their request.
Scandinavian Lutherans will use priest, North American Lutherans use pastor. It's the order of presbyter either way.
We included the extra endings. That would not be my choice!
On the first day of our fall break, my friends and I got together and read Mark's gospel aloud together. Immaculate nerd shit.

End of history-style “Hello children, we literally just achieved our perennial dream of peace. We’re going to try to teach you everything we know and ensure you won’t be like we were” was the closest we came to being a normal society.

It’s why I refuse to be too negative about that era.
the wave of weaponized nostalgia for 90s-style multiculturalism and political correctness is gonna hit different
If you compare to the rubrics in the BCP are those places where the BCP says to do something?
