May the God of justice send his Spirit anew among us, that we might care for the hungry, the homeless and all in need; and strengthen us in doing good and seeking justice that our lights shine in the darkness of the world. #LectionaryPrayers for the Fifth Sunday after Epiphany Year A February 8 2026

By the hungry I will feed you,
by the poor I'll make you rich
By the broken I will mend you,
Tell me, which one is which?

Bitcoin/Ethereum are supposed to be "digital gold" & the thing that is going to replace fiat currencies as the world's dominant medium of exchange & store of value. The true believers still believe this. So far, though, the primary use case continues to be criming, speculation, or both.
BTC vs gold vs USD, 6m vs 5yr

So currencies. Much medium of exchange. Very store of value.

Gold, at least, is performing the store of value function amidst the Trumpian uncertainty (bsky.app/profile/mcop...)

Crypto? Literally, this was supposed to be the one real use case besides the criming.

Mark Kermode reviews "Melania".

The review is short on jokes, but makes a powerful case that it is utterly horrific. Bezos should be ashamed of what he made.
