strike one off that list, made some root vegetable pies tonight that are basically little curried pot pies. ottolenghi rarely steers me wrong but this dough was a disaster pretty much from the go and my attempts to rescue it were of only moderate success. so, not so pretty but still delicious 😋

I am never renting a car again. you get 2 options: pay ~$20/day to get an ezpass, or pay your tolls by plate. today I got hit with a $155 charge for tolls on my pgh --> bmore --> philly trip. turns out a 1-way trip across pa with ezpass is $40, and without it is $80.
