It's still a shock to find a new PFAS forever chemical hotspot, even when it's inevitable. A bit of digging around paper mills, which often use PFAS, revealed the banned carcinogen PFOS at levels as high as 3,000ng/l in groundwater in south Cumbria

It's depressing that ministers ever thought this was proportionate, and disgusting that they haven't immediately accepted the judgement.
I expected such levels of knee-jerk stupidity from Braverman. But we voted Labour because we wanted better.

This week, Israel returned 54 bodies to Gaza along with 66 bags of human remains, including skull samples. The International Committee of the Red Cross handed them over to al-Shifa Hospital, where forensic teams are now trying to give these Palestinians back their identities.
