"scientists there added an ingredient that would protect the pill for 30 minutes while it is being absorbed. It's a mouthful: sodium N-(8-[2-hydroxybenzoyl]amino)caprylate, or SNAC for short."

I'm amused that the key innovation here is called "SNAC"

It's been awhile since I last checked, but somebody has finally claimed my old twitter handle after I deleted my account.

At least it doesn't appear that they're trying to impersonate me, yet.

It is unfortunately fitting that this administration's response to "why does air travel suck so much" is "You deserved it because of what you were wearing."
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

Wow does this thread go places... Very entertaining and informative.
I have been doing entirely too much earnest posting about deep things recently, I need to do a proper thread about hippo testicles or something just to keep myself sane.

Oh by the way hippos have migratory testicles.

I was initially talking about Anno, but CoD:Blops 7 coming in with a perfect example.

There's not a single game dev at Treyarch or Raven Software who had this as their creative vision.

This is all exec pushed slop.

When I read this garbage on a Steam page, I assume the "creative vision" is exec bonuses hatred towards the folks that actually build the game.

"AI tools were used to help create some in game assets. In all such cases, the final product reflects our team’s craft and creative vision."

Working on my color grading knowledge/tricks with some footage I took at Saltwater State Park a couple weeks ago. Frame from the original footage in the replies for comparison but I'm pretty proud of how this turned out. Couple of minor nits to pick, but a hell of a long way from a year ago

2025 stress? Consider:

1. Stop. We can only do one thing at a time.

2. Drop. Let go of things you aren't currently doing.

3. Shut 'em down. The goal is not to just fight, but to find local ways to end the fight.

4. Open up shop. Self-employment is challenging but reduces the self censoring from-
Stressed? Try:

1. Stop. Pausing to think can save you more time overall, maybe even from doing the wrong thing.

2. Collaborate. Go out of your way to seek outside perspectives.

3. Listen. It's not enough to just gather input, digest and act on it.

Soon, you'll be back, with a brand new invention

What I love about Any Austin's videos are the exploration of how deep a lot of these topics are.

To think that folks making a video game, already an impossible task, are able to dig deep into so many different topics and incorporate them into their pretend worlds.

Always amazing.

How many times am I going to have to uninstall co-pilot from @vscode.dev? Too many times, already, and more coming, I assume.

It seems the plan is to keep making it a dependency of other, non co-pilot, plugins to force install, even if it's completely unrelated.

This has all the key game design principles of any game:

1. Moving vaguely forwardish through... city?
2. Shooting some things for no reason in particular

I am not a game designer, but I think my 3 key design principles would be:

1. Secrets
2. behind
3. waterfalls.

The thread has a lot more interesting answers, though.
What's your number one personal game design principle? And even better - does it have a cool name?
