Great day featuring sushi, beer, and Rummy on a blanket. Long live fall! ♥️

Except that Hogan’s phone work during the election relied on racist tropes about Alsobrooks which meant I couldn’t possibly vote for him. But she suuuucks.

Isn’t this reason enough for the 25th Amendment? He BELIEVES this. It’s fantasy. And if he’s being manipulated by AI videos, does no one in his orbit will tell him he has no clothes???

I will remember that @alsobrooks.senate.gov voted against the rights of trans people. Do we have a JK Rowling-sycophant representing Maryland, or simply an opportunist who thinks of civil rights of trans people as negotiable. Shame on you, Angie.

1. Last night, 26 Senate Dems helped pass a NDAA containing a military trans sports and surgery ban and dropped demands for protections against US troop deployments in the bill.

It is the latest in the national fight over must-pass bills during the shutdown.

The bill passed by a wide margin in the Senate and will be the starting point for negotiations with the House, which contain more severe anti-trans riders.

Oh cool. Maybe you can talk about your vote against trans people in the military. That will be fun. “I’m Angela Alsobrooks and I support our military…just not those trans ones.” At least I know why you’ve failed to respond to my messages to your office.

His solo album is pretty cool. You can hear the Smiths in his writing, and of course his playing. (Wow I sound like a dork)

I am so sick of well-resourced people, companies, and members of our government refusing to do the hard thing, so choosing to do the easy things, which make everything harder for UNresourced people.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Ah yes, the familiar law enforcement trope, “Do something, bitch!” You know,
Like you hear on Law and Order and other procedurals. What in the world?!?

Try to remember this when you—a human being who believes in equality and compassion for others—feel alone and outnumbered.

1. 4 months ago, The Supreme Court gave families a right to opt out of LGBTQ+ education in schools.

Now, in Montgomery County, Maryland, where the case originated, the results are in.

Only 43 families out of 160,000 students have exercised that new right.

It would take around 1.1 million acres of solar panels to (clean) power the world. That's less than a quarter of the number of acres devoted globally to golf courses. You can see where this is going, right...?

This by @katmabu.bsky.social is the best speech I've heard yet by any politician about what ICE/Trump/Noem is doing and it's not close.
