In a genuine upset, Democrat Taylor Rehmet won a special election for Texas State Senate District 9.

Trump carried that district in 2024 by 17 points; it is ruby red. But the GOP lost...by 14 points. That's a 31-point swing.

The kicker? Rehmet was outspent ~ 10 to 1. Dems turned out; GOP didn't.

I can’t stress this enough. The state of 4th Amendment law is that the cops can’t force you to type in a passcode but they can force you to swipe your finger or present your face. Never stop using passcodes/passwords to unlock your devices. And consider additional code to unlock Signal.
The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

So bypassing the constitution by the Executive branch controlling funds instead of Congress.
Marco Rubio: "The oil proceeds are being deposited into an account that ultimately will become a US Treasury blocked account here in the US. We will say 'this is what this money can be spent on.' They will submit to us a budget request -- 'we want to use the money on these things.'"

We call it both-siding or false-equivalency, but the reality is that Corporate Media is always telling US what Republican Elite and Republican Voters want US to hear, but they never give equal share of voice to Democratic Elite or Democratic Voters. It is just a hardcore pro-Republican bias.

Man, I bet the NRA is going to be furious when they hear that jack-booted thugs from the federal government executed a law-abiding citizen for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a handgun.

Any second now, I'm sure.

He was a white guy, if that helps?

Hello? NRA?

Hmmm, reminds me of what that Ford assembly worker said when the President visited.
The Tate brothers, who have been accused of sexual misconduct in three countries, had their devices seized by law enforcement when they arrived in the U.S.

Days later, a White House official told DHS to return them.

The White House Intervened on Behalf of Accused Sex Trafficker Andrew Tate During a Federal Investigation
Federal authorities were chided for seizing electronic devices from Tate and his brother, and told to return them, records and interviews show. Experts said the intervention was highly inappropriate.

We cause the problem and then tell the world how it should respond. The media then vaguely talks about market instability.
The US is worried, as it should be. Bessent accused the media of having “latched on” to a report from Deutsche Bank on the issue, & of being “hysterical”.
