People should be required to vote, like they're required to pay taxes. But the mechanics of that would be impossible without massive investment in voting machinery, personnel etc.
Do you think every person of voting age should be required to vote by law?

I truly believe the majority of human beings want a better world and aren’t voting for it

Hilarious. When I read the lengthy bamboo musings in Part 1, I kept thinking “Block That Metaphor! Block That Metaphor!”
Ryan Lizza hasn't published his Part 2 on Olivia Nuzzi yet because he really wants to work in more bamboo metaphors.

Trump today called a female reporter “Piggy.” Who is she? Catherine Lucey of Bloomberg. What’s amazing is that none of her colleagues in the scrum spoke up. What if they’d all said: “That’s not acceptable!” I was a news reporter for 40 years. You don’t give up your humanity for access.
This is the reporter that Donald Trump called "Piggy." She is Catherine Lucey, currently with Bloomberg.

I don't think it is a coincidence that, back in 2018, Lucey was the first reporter to ask Trump about Stormy Daniels. Trump responded with a lie, but, clearly, did not forget the question.

How can a journalist who achieved top-rung national status be so damn gullible? The city hall reporter in Davenport, Iowa, wouldn’t accept this BS. Gimme local news reporters over these national prima donnas any day.
“Baby, don’t worry,” he said. “It’s not a worm.”

Definitely worth a follow.
America is not experiencing a rightward realignment as much as it is going through a de-alignment of the established order.

New piece:
What is really going on in this society that elected Donald Trump president a second time?

I wrote about three stubborn myths about Trump’s support – and why America has experienced a de-alignment rather than a rightward realignment.

Roman Catholic bishops in the U.S. chose new leaders on Tuesday. The new president is an archbishop from Oklahoma City who issued a statement two days after President Trump’s inauguration calling on Catholics to remember that Jesus was once a refugee, and to support immigrant families.

Watch out! The pinko menace is spreading across the map like the commies in a 1940s newsreel. If he looks like a commie and smells like a commie, and walks like a commie, then he’s probably a commie.
