Seasonal Reminensce

Thinking about a 96 degree day back in August when I rode 57 miles to Darrington, Washington.

Looking across an old railroad trestle that crosses the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River. This is part of the multiuse Whitehorse Trail. 3 humans are swimming in the river which is lined by trees under a cloudless bluesky. A white pickup truck is parked in front of a classic red farmhouse. A steep wooded slope leads up to the glacial crested Whitehorse Mountain towering above the farm. A gravel surfaced trail cuts through a tunnel of trees. The shade was very welcome along this portion of the Whitehorse Trail. Looking down at Squire Creek from and old train trestle. A reddish beam with rivets borders the bottom of the frame. Blue sky is reflected in the creek as well as the trees along the creek bank. There is a sandy beach on one side of the creek where I filtered water.

The #MacroPhotography started off nicely this year with this ridiculous snooty #moth friend. It was a herald of the many #Awesome #MothFriends to come.

Sunday morning walk by the river and pumpkin field. We saw hundreds of ducks across the sky, a young eagle in a tree along the Tolt, a kingfisher on a telephone wire, two flickers in a tree, these noisy cowbirds.
