Indeed. The missus and I don’t have many hifalutin’ creature comforts, but we’re particular about our coffee and we’ve seen the prices skyrocket on our brand from an already not-cheap price point. I don’t even want to think about how it’ll go if we get to a point where we can’t buy it at any price.

It’s a real bummer. As a Mariners fan, I’ve been daydreaming about a Mariners/Brewers (Pilots) WS. Of course, they’ve got to take care of their own situation, and hopefully Seattle will take care of theirs.

People don't need more evidence to conclude he's a white supremacist. Evidence isn't the issue here. The problem is convincing people that white supremacy is a threat rather than something they can elide and quietly benefit from without actually saying they like it.

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.

Per reports it would have literally screwed with victims getting some justice as Ghislaine Maxwell was moving through appeals at the time. There was a brief window when they could have in early 2024, but Biden would have been seen to be using state power to win election. Media would’ve gone apeshit.

I was the target audience for Tron, loved it, loved the game, all of it. Formative experience for very young me. Could not for the life of me tell you why they made a sequel or a third movie.
