AOC: "How rich is it that she is saying showing up to the scene of a protest with a legally owned weapon should be grounds for a person's death, execution at the hands of the state, by the same party and administration that praises Kyle Rittenhouse."

ICE does not belong in our communities.

We will defend our communities in Minneapolis and across the country in our struggle for peace and justice.

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.

There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us.

This is my favorite guide.

He was 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti.

A Veterans Affairs ICU Registered Nurse.

He was murdered while protecting a woman from random ICE brutality.

I love how most of these so-called "patriots", who once desperately feared a tyrannical government infringing on their constitutional rights, currently gargle the balls and lick the boots of an actual tyrannical government only because they're going after, and murdering people they hate. For now.

Watching 'The 99 Year-Old Man', and learned that when Mel Brooks lost his wife, soon after, Carl Reiner lost his, and the two friends spent most every night in Carl's living room with TV trays, watching TV and movies. Then, for about a year after Carl died, Mel kept going to the house. I'm in tears.

There has been an increasing sense in Minneapolis that we are on our own, that our elected representatives are unwilling and/or unable to take action to get these murderous Nazi thugs out of our community. I really hope that changes today. The time for pleading TV hits ended weeks ago.

Mr. Governor,
This has gone beyond a 'strongly worded phone call or social media message,' don't you think? Your citizens are putting their bodies on the line to protect their cities, neighborhoods, and homes. Use the Minnesota National Guard to protect *them*.
I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

Congress passed the Taft-Hartley Act in 1947 (over Truman's veto) to make general strikes so incredibly difficult to organize that there hasn't been one since.

That there is a general strike happening in a major US city on such short notice is nothing short of a miracle.
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

Another question I came here with was: how effective are the whistles and honking? Does it stop abductions? And the answer is, surprisingly to my cynical self, yes, and often. I have talked to so many people who have successfully interrupted kidnappings.

Hey. I get it if you're trying to de-Amazon. I stopped shopping there a few years ago. They're big evil.

But you know who's not big evil? Your favorite writers who're struggling cos people aren't buying their books anymore.

It's OK to use Kindle to support your faves. I'm giving you permission.
