A nice soundbite from ED and I agree we should rejoin but thats going to take years, the EU won't let us straight back and who could blame them? In the meanwhile Labour are doing everything they can to make the best of a very bad job which was inflicted on us all by tory fuckwittery.
Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!

Nazzi Farrightidge wants this in the UK
I hesitate to go to doctors because of a $100 copay every visit...I think twice about possible procedures because of $10,000 OOP (up front of course). And now, apparently, we are the 'lucky ones'

Quick analysis of The Times today:
Wall to wall negative coverage of Labour’s budget. An editorial that tuts about lack of growth but takes no responsibility. And a double page ad to join Farage/Reform.
Absolutely no analysis on how rightwing ideology - including Brexit - has been utterly ruinous.

Victoria Derbyshire rinsed Baldwin - a washed-up Shadow Business hack from the 14-years-of-chaos Tory circus - after she moaned about Labour’s Budget. Derbyshire hit back: everything they whine about now is what they did while trashing the country. Fourteen years of ruin and they act brand new.

As a Labour supporter, and a firm believer in Kier Starmer's leadership, I welcome the Liberal Democrats call for a National Investigation into Russian Interference within British Politics and Government.

I shall post the petition below.
Lib Dem leader Edward Davey calls for a national investigation into Russian political interference in British politics:

"Given Reform won't, he must. So will he know launch a national investigation into Russian infiltration into our politics?"

Starmer: "Reform is riddled with pro-Putin propaganda"

You just cannot take the iPaper seriously when it wheels out Kwasi ‘mini budget’ Kwarteng to comment on the budget.
We don’t *ever* want to hear from this arrogant clown again.

Sort of pisses on ALL the racists who claim ‘we are full and more and more are coming’
Immigration IS NOT a big issue for Britain.
Only an issue for racists and we see you.
Net migration fell sharply agaim to 204,000 in the year to June 2025, having been 344k in 2024 and 848k in 2023. But falling immigration has been the biggest secret - and it is time for the media and political debate to catch up with this change

UK net migration fell to 204,000 in year to June - live updates
Net migration, the difference between those entering and leaving the country, was 345,000 in 2024 according to revised figures.

Don't read the Heil or Torygraph / reFUKKKagraph
On Truss & Kwarteng in ‘22. Allister Heath, Telegraph: “the best budget I have ever heard a British chancellor deliver". Alex Brummer, Mail: “a genuine Tory package elbowing to one side the Treasury's fiscal conservatism".
These men will now be paid actual money for their analysis of today’s budget.

#BBC Website political page - Nazzi Farrightidge's lifelong racism barely gets a mention, his dodgy house tax evasion no mention and nothing about reFUKKK plc traitor Gill. Why? #DeradicaliseTheBBC

And don't just do a Farage & Polanski & give us a one liner. Let's have the details, all of them, with a timescale & full costing 👍

..has to do the best with what it's been left with. Rejoining would be just as costly, divisive & full of more upheaval as leaving. So working towards a PEM with the EU is a good start among a mess of other issues this govt faces.
We should never have left, but we have. No quick fixes for that.

So, new govt left to pick up the pieces after long Tory travesty, & their Brexit, for which a majority voted.
So do we immediately start with a costly bus campaign & referendum to rejoin, or just ignore that vote & ask the EU anyway off the back of some polls?
As with everything else, this govt..

It's disgraceful that Rachel Reeves didn't take any questions from GB News! The fact that they claim to not be a news channel every time Ofcom find they have breached impartiality rules shouldn't stop them from pretending they are a news channel whenever it suits them.

A Labour MP did bad admin and its all over the BBC like a rash for a week or more. The leader of Reform in Wales gets sent down for what's effectively treason and it hardly gets a mention. THAT is the BBC bias.

reFUKKK robbing the poor to fund personal grift
Local Reform UK has accelerated their refuk - Durham’s Reform-run council is punishing its own voters by scrapping full council-tax relief and forcing 26,000 low-income working-age residents to pay for the first time.
