My graduate ethics course was canceled after I refused to censor discussions of race, gender, and sexuality. Ethics is about people and power, not scripted silence. This is bigger than one class. I address it in my next video, premiering at 5:00 PM today.

I wish Marge Gunderson, Brainerd's Chief of Police from Fargo, would go down to the Cities and take care of this. She could do it, too.
Props to the lady giving an interview in her pink UFFDA hat and saying, "well, gosh, I've never had tear gas and flashbangs shot at me, but I'm happy to take it so my neighbors are safe."

I am just a pollster, standing in front of a bunch of elected Dems, asking them to lead on public opinion rather than hedge and tiptoe and moderate for fear an imaginary future backlash that will probably be manufactured by the right wing ecosystem anyway, regardless of what Dems do or don’t say.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

I was wondering if we'd start seeing more stories of ICE/CPB harrassing the Hmong, who as a reminder, came here b/c they helped US in Vietnam War and also b/c we BOMBED THE SHIT out of their homelands.
"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"
A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

Well, I guess it's something. I just googled "What did Democratic leaders in the US do today besides send me emails and texts asking for money?" The result: gave some press conferences.
BREAKING: Minnesota, Minneapolis, and St. Paul sue Noem and others over DHS immigration enforcement surge in Minnesota, seeking TRO to block the surge and stop unlawful actions detailed in the complaint.

This is such an interesting idea. The “ridealong” is such an established genre binding journalism to law enforcement. Great to see @zeteo.com flip this on its head and bind journalism to mutual aid and community care, real “news you can use.”
We did a ride along. Not with law enforcement. But with the Minneapolis residents defending their communities from those very officers.

This is the sort of statement that was expected from every university president and law firm partner over the last year. That those statements weren’t made played a huge part in where we are now and people will remember.
Jerome Powell: "This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions—or whether instead monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation."
