Can someone in immigration law explain to me how this is legal?
When ICE agents look like this, it is ENTIRELY APPROPRIATE for state and local law enforcement to step in and demand they identify themselves and show judicial warrants before detaining anyone from an immigration court.

This is beyond cruel, especially for young folks who are going through it. Cutting off LGBTQ+ youth from specialized suicide prevention help is a death sentence disguised as bureaucracy.
Shame on every official who signed off on this. You’re not protecting children, you’re abandoning them.

Cruelty is not strength. In fact it is, quite literally, the lack of mental fortitude. Cruelty is easy, it takes no courage, no effort, and no strength to be cruel. Kindness, empathy, and compassion are where mental strength is built. Bullies are weak and soft.
(Josh Hawley didn't appear on CNBC this morning and there was no explanation from Squawk Box about why they hyped it for hours and then it didn't happen)
