My contributor copy of Tales of Sley House 2025 from @sleyhouseeditor.bsky.social came in today! Pick it up to read my story, "Scratches," the second piece of fiction that has been published! It means so much that people want to share the stories I've been working on.
That's also what I did during the 90s.
I just got a Batman tomagotchi from the 90s. So far all he does is pace around nervously, do pushups, and think about Batman.

These people think an election is not a process by which politicians try to build political coalitions in order to gain the power to get elected and enact policy but a regularly administered litmus test against the electorate about whether they deserve to live in a democracy or not.

Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

I really hate living in GamerGate America. 2014 never ended, and the people who saw its connection to rising fascism were ridiculed for being correct.
The Epstein files reveal what powerful people see in video games: profit, coercion, and control

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

No. This is somewhere to be. This is all you have, but it's still something. Streets and sodium lights. The sky, the world. You're still alive.

Damn fossils are cool
Fuck it.

It's not Friday, but I'm going to share fossils.

This is Porocrinus, an echinoderm from the Ordovician Maquoketa formation near Eldorado, Iowa.

The arms are missing, but the calyx is very unique.

After having time to sit with it, I have decided that I did not care for Del Toro's 'Frankenstein.' I didn't like Victor, and I thought that most of the changes from the novel (I like the 1818 version) were less impactful. The first act was fun, though.
