My elderly dad rolled up his long-johns and put them in the microwave, thinking they'd be a good foot warmer. Didn't work, but he DID start a fire....

This year I paid attention to the Nobel Prizes. I had this sense of doom about the Peace Prize; waited for Friday like it was payday. Hallelujah, it WAS payday! I despair for a world where DJT is even considered - a man doesn't KNOW what habeas corpus is doesn't deserve our attention.

Had teachers like this. My husband taught for 40 years. He's one of the good ones. He still goes to our local school every Friday to play wide games with the kids at lunch, still subs. He loves his job and he loves the kids.

Guilty. We keep them because they have names of kids and grandkids, and we do keep in touch with them. Sometimes just a 'I remember your mom' is a nice thing to do?
