Someone explain to me why recommending a TV show or movie with nudity or sex scenes to a friend feels totally normal but recommending a visual novel with even one exposed nipple feels comparable to DMing them hardcore pornography.

Watched two episodes because my partner was interested in it and they've watched so real gnarly shit because I wanted to so I thought yeah, I owe them this.
Real good show. Spent about five minutes of each episode looking at the cat in my lap instead of the screen, though.

Embarrassing for me to have developed a reputation with friends and coworkers as someone who loves gory slashers and transgressive, violent art in general while also sheepishly admitting I can't watch The Pitt because my tolerance for medical gore is so low Greys Anatomy is sometimes over my limit.
