I cannot recommend you enough to install the Wikipedia app on your devices and use it like you would any search engine. Nowadays they even have tabs so you can open many articles at once.

And, if you can, please donate to the foundation. It has survived the internet enshittification that way.
wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...

Remember our mantra:

Don't Engage, Just Block.
The Great Yinglet Discourse of 2024 would be my go-to example of dumb yet all-consuming social media drama if it didn't require an unreasonable amount of backstory to explain.
As a Halloween party/gathering that sounds rad as hell actually.
The few non-furry ex-Cohost users are seeing the word Yinglet all over their dash and having war flashbacks right now.
"Quick google" oh yeah, that's going on the watchlist.
I think it's a few things: subscription services, enough people trying to disconnect from tech that they're considered a marketable demographic, and the demographic that romanticizes "clean" aesthetics and premium materials even when something cheap (i.e. notecards) would be just as functional.
I thought a hobonichi techo was a little pricey for a planner, this more than the cost of buying one of those every three months.
Headline buries the lede here: this is an ad to for a subscription service where you spent $30 every three months to receive 150 notecards. Starter kit is $100, includes that plus a wood box to put them in.

I also prefer an analogue method of tracking my daily office tasks: a $14 whiteboard.
This minimalist, paper-based to-do manager can help you focus on completing your important tasks while staying offline. nyti.ms/4h8ijiC
I saw Nosferatu (1922) with a live score and it did have the effect of making the first night at Orlok's castle and the ship massacre extremely tense. I don't think it would have had the same effect without the music, however.

Just on a casual viewing, I'd say The Exorcist (1973).
I'm trying to reach folks where they are because I get "start paying for albums again" is a big transition for many but there's only so many "Tidal is cheaper and better" I got in me.
NYC mayoral debate clips are giving off the same energy as Call of Duty kill compilations.

I support everyone giving vast sums of money to Andrew Cuomo. It’s the “lighting a million quid on fire” art piece but this time performed by the worst people in the world.

HM2 has some straight up ROMhack level designs.
Not that I think it's something I need to justify or explain, but this is why my Twitter is locked now. My last post was 11 months ago so no great loss.
From what I hear it's people leaving because Twitter is just defacto allowing full on doxing of targets now.

2, by contrast, has you wading through infant corpses a half hour in, spends fully a quarter of its runtime on a boringly predictable and completely unconnected pedophile priest plotline, and never succeeds in making you feel anything other than revulsion for its characters.
The first game has moments of pathos, as cruel as the narrative is to the residents of the asylum the majority them just make you feel really sad. The truly heinous moments are escalating pops of violence and terror amidst the tragedy.
Plot-wise, look, I like a good exploitation film, I think the original and it's DLC's complete apathy towards notions of good taste are part of the appeal. But here it's just aggressively unpleasant? It's just gross shit presented in a flat, uncreative and unmemorable way. No surprises.
