A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.

This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.

Not one dime for this cruelty.

If I hear “unprecedented” and “crossing the rubicon” one more time, I’m going to explode. Use words that resonate with rural voters. Damn.

What Democracy?
"As a member of the press, I filmed the church protest a few weeks ago and now I'm being arrested for that," Indipendent journalist Georgia Fort said. "It's hard to understand how we have a Constitution, Constitutional rights, when we can just be arrested for being a member of the press."

Lemon's attorney said he was taken into custody by federal officers Thursday night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy Awards.

Lost so many friends in 2015 during the lead up to the election. I was screaming for people to see where our great nation was headed. Spoke to one of those former friends this past week… “I’m sorry, you were right”.

Pay attention and don’t stop Minneapolis. And look at Maine too.
The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Just saw the body cam footage. As angry as we all are, we need to be angrier. As sad as we are all, we need to be more empathetic. As shocked as we are are, we need to be more prepared for what lies ahead...

Most Americans agree we need to get money out of politics. If that takes a constitutional amendment, then that's what we have to do. And if that's going to take years, then it's all the more reason to begin pushing now.

How stupid ARE Dems?
The deal to end the shutdown would pave the way for senators to sue over phone searches.

Because the provision is retroactive to 2022, it would appear to make eligible the eight lawmakers whose phone records were subpoenaed by investigators for Mr. Smith...

Southern vs. rural Maine is the same old cultural & economic divide...it mirrors the split between Middle America & left-leaning cities. Until DEMS bridge that gap, they’ll keep losing ground where people feel unseen. Platner seems to understand that. #MEpolitics
