Just in time for the weekend! Note that the 'cream' in this recipe is tinned Fussells Thick Cream. More easily found in Newfoundland, but I've sometimes seen it at Sobeys. If you can't find Fussells, my MIL says Carnation cream (not milk!) also works. I've only ever made it with Fussells though.
Every time I see this compost bin while out walking in my neighbourhood, I smile. So do the local kids!

I’m giving a free webinar on occupational mental health injury for frontline workers this Thursday! I’ll be joined by a colleague who is much smarter than me. You should listen in, just to hear from her.

Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Moral Injury at Work. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.

Some vaccines like COVID and flu don’t stop completely stop infection.

But they do reduce the risk of getting infected and greatly reduce severe illness risk.

They are still worth getting.

Since they are not 100% effective it’s also wise to add another layer of protection by wearing a mask.

A sobering read. @timbousquet.bsky.social on the environmental impacts of the AI industry. (no paywall)

"The energy demands are so enormous that if the industry is successful in its growth projections, it will be impossible to stave off cataclysmic climate change.

What kind of insanity is this?"

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
