I haven't had COVID. Not available in the UK unless you hit a narrow clinical definition or can find one of the few places doing it privately. But flu, typhoid, tetanus and hep A together are a cocktail.

Not sure whether it's the sudden onslaught of vaccinations for going to India, the shrinking amount of daylight, or something else entirely, but it's been a long time since I've been exhausted right down to my bones like this. Very much looking forward to a long flight with absolutely nothing to do.

The UK has a tradition of camp comedians/comedy actors, so I would have been 7 or 8 years old in the mid-late 70s watching John Inman in 'Are You Being Served', Larry Grayson on 'The Generation Game', or Melvyn Hayes in 'It Ain't Half Hot, Mum'. All mainstream Saturday evening family shows.

Serious question, when did you find out a sexuality other than heterosexual existed?

Media, year, situation is what I'm getting at.

I'm so genuinely curious about this

Next time an institution tells you how seriously it takes research misconduct, ask them if it's *this* seriously. www.bmj.com/content/297/...
In 1916 the BMJ published an article about the work done by James Shearer, an American physician working in the British Army as a sergeant (because he had no British qualification). He had described a
"delineator" which was better than x rays for portraying gunshot wounds. This caused a sensation and a lot of interest — but on investigation the work was found to have been invented. The BMJ published a retraction, but Shearer was tried by court martial and sentenced to death by firing squad.

I figured my UK passport was expiring soon, so I might as well replace it with a better one. Positively looking forward to passport control in Brussels in a few weeks!

Right, it's #TWANG* day, so we're going to twang a load of stuff with our mini-catapult. Pay attention it's science.

First, a tennis ball. By way of calibration, if you will.

But we know what you're all asking... What would happen if we filled that tennis ball with concrete?

*Not a thing.

(I was an extra in one episode, but I don't think I made it on screen. It was filmed at my school.)

703) Midnightbot. Appears in the corner of the room at midnight and stands motionless, staring at you for exactly 47 seconds before vanishing again. We don't know why. #SmallRobotsRemonstered #Halloween

Ah, happy 88th anniversary of the day Oswald Mosley tried to sell fascism to Liverpudlians – and someone concussed him with a brick

I've found a pharmacy in my town that will be doing COVID jags privately! Not until I'm back from America (which is a shame because I'd like it before eight hours on a plane and seven days on a ship) but BOOSTER!

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

Also shows they don't care about accessibility. Correctly capitalising is one of the easiest things you can do to help dyslexics.
