I’ve talked about how the new Frankenstein is a wonderful Frankenstein film, but I also think it is THE Del Toro film. While I’m not sure if it is his best work yet, it encapsulates his style, his eccentricities, his loves and his cares so neatly that I can’t point to a work that is more truly him.
