Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

I’m not surprised that they caved, but I am surprised that they waited until after gaining electoral momentum to do it.

This deserves revisiting – Farage squirms as Rep. Jamie Raskin obliterates the "Putin-loving, free speech imposter, Trump sycophant."

Please share as widely as possible. We need an antidote to media promotion and protection of Farage.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

A federal court in Boston has left the full SNAP funding order in place, despite a demand from the Trump administration to "undo" benefits that were paid over the weekend. All Trump did was show, yet again, that he’s not a President for the People.

I'm going to make this CLEAR AND SIMPLE: If you first instinct in a crisis is to STARVE CHILDREN, and then you fight a court order that DEMANDS you feed children, you are EVIL. You are the BAD GUY. You deserve to be KICKED OUT.

Chris d'Entremont on raising concerns about Poilievre's leadership style: "Even if in some of those conversations it did seem that he felt that he was going to be changing, or he understood that he might have to change his leadership style, I saw none of that in the fall session."

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

Chris d'Entremont on other possible floor crossers: "I really think there was probably three or four... People aren't happy with the leadership style, not just of the leader, but of the leadership team. A lot of times I felt it was a part of a frat house, rather than a serious political party."

80% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.

Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.
