The general vibe of creature I would want to be if I could have any form I want fits the term "highly entropic being" from Caves of Qud the best, I think.

Though, I can't quite put my finger on what I mean by that exactly myself, lol.

A laser gun turret librarian with glasses and a pile of books (the whole library, currently) Describes a laser turret emplacement who hates violence, and as a pariah from her community, instead becomes a librarian with a small library of only a few books (donations are being accepted though!)

Charity, someone undergoing a slow transformation into a furred dragon, is sitting in a tree, holding a frightened rooster. She looks shocked to realize she was about to eat it.

been chipping away at it (and still not 100% there) but i've been working on 3.0 of my Eek avatar. Looks a lot sharper, nearly 1 to 1 with the 2D ref and somehow 2,000 less triangles than the previous. He's almost perfect 🐜❗

One thing I have noticed, in fantasy settings the assumption is usually that humans just came to be in that world instead of on Earth.

In Sci-Fi the assumption is usually that humans are from Earth. Its odd and readers expect it to be spelled out when they aren't.

A man tries the high striker, but extremely underestimated the weight of the mallet itself. Using all his might, he lifts it over his shoulder, still trembling. Unknown to him, he started to change. His skin turned into grey-colored placoid scales. A fin grew from the back of his head and a tail burst from his pants. The weight seemed to get lighter and his muscles grew bigger and stronger. A pair of flesh mound sprouted from his chest, which can no doubt be a pair of breasts. His crotch shifted uncomfortably until he was no longer a male... Her body and muscles grew bigger and bigger, making the mallet weigh like a feather to her. With all her strength, she slammed down the mallet breaking the stick in half, and launching the bell into the sky. Won't be long until she realizes what happened to her though...

I am starting to genuinely think that majority opinion, on most topics that are not simply observable as the color of the sky, is generally either wrong, the result of a gross oversimplification that drives away any and all nuance or based on nothing other than what the majority wants reality to be
