I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Newborns cannot get vaccinated for whooping cough until they are two months old.
So it is up to adults who plan to be around newborns to get those Tdap shots—and new parents need to encourage family members who plan to be around a newborn to get Tdap shots, too.

Victory! We have a faucet with two handles that is not leaking! I need to clean a few hard to reach spots now that the drawers are out of the vanity, but then we can put everything back and are at bathroom normal again.

After one of the handles snapped off our faucet this week (hard water is awful) we are replacing the whole unit. So far this has necessitated one extra trip for a specialized tool because hard water is terrible.... fingers crossed the rest goes well.

I have progressed from the terrible sinus pain stage into half my face is swollen stage. Which honestly is an improvement. It peaked early this morning and now things are slowly going down.... but yeah. Fun days.

After waking up from the dratted sinus malady pain, I've taken a 3 hour nap and got ahead of things with Tylenol and ibuprofen. And I look a little less bad plastic surgery. Hopefully another night and I'll be through the worst of it.

For reference one of my email accounts had this turned on and one did not... so it might not be rolling out equally yet.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

There was a bird on the porch so I scooped up my Lily cat and held her to the glass to see and she went so still in my arms, chirping and lashing her tail. She's still there looking for it after it flew off after a few minutes. Truly the best of cats.

Our faucet handle snapped last night. Casualty of very hard water that we now have corrected with a water softener. But husband and I are going to fix it this weekend (it still works with the hot water so no rush). I've offered to buy us Mario hats for the procedure.
