Interesting paper. Short version is they used comic artists as a control vs. illustrators, the argument being that comic artists, during the period studied, were less AI-exposed. There is evidence for this:

While I have been preoccupied reporting on Kevin Warsh's Fed nomination, it seems the administration has proven me wrong about Minnesota. The president is not backing off and the assault on Minneapolis continues. Don't let it get lost in the blizzard of other news.

SCOOP from @samanthamichaels.bsky.social. The Trump admin is pressuring Minnesota federal prosecutors to criminally charge anti-ICE protesters based on weak, one-sided evidence. Those attorneys are PISSED. And more are resigning.

Citing fear of ICE, pregnant immigrants in Minnesota are

-skipping prenatal care
-requesting home births, even when not medically advised
-going w/o adequate food

Many are experiencing complications providers say can be stress-onset: diabetes, high blood pressure, and even water breaking early
Fear of ICE is keeping pregnant immigrants in Minnesota from critical care
Health care providers in Minnesota said pregnant patients are having more complications linked to stress. But fear of immigration agents is keeping them from prenatal care.

Hello Minnesota Police Chief 👀
This is the correct way to police ICE. And it drives the far right nuts. Good.

Sources tell Zeteo that some Trump DOJ officials actually explored whether certain instances of anti-ICE activists networks blowing whistles in Minnesota could be used as evidence in criminal prosecutions of those who “obstruct” or “impede” federal operations.

The sycophancy & trust in Chuck Schumer on this site is breathtaking.

Folks, you do realize politicians are not your best friends? They are public servants & increasingly disconnected from people. It is GOOD to pressure & criticize them.

If they do good, I'll praise them. This deal isn't great.

The NIH Director (Bhattacharya) and Deputy Director (Memoli) recently published their “plan” for US pandemic preparedness—it was essentially to do nothing other than to persuade American individuals to get healthier, so that the healthy would survive the next pandemic. Survival of the fittest.

A great day to get Joanna Russ's "How to Suppress Women's Writing" from a local library and read it while you're striking.

It's short.

Everything she says about the erasure of women's voices from history goes for black, indigenous, brown, immigrant, genderqueer, disabled, and queer people, too.
