The paradox of automation says that the more efficient the automated system, the more crucial the human contribution of the operators. Humans are less involved, but their involvement becomes more critical. Lisanne Bainbridge, a cognitive psychologist, identified these issues notably in her widely cited paper "Ironies of Automation."[49] If an automated system has an error, it will multiply that error until it is fixed or shut down. just because we're all excited about the potential that the gabecube has for fucking over microsoft doesn't mean we should forget that valve is also a pretty bad company. steam is an anti-compettitive monopoly and they enabled underaged gambling for millions. corporations are not your friends.
