Not vicious, or malicious, just de-lovely, and delicious
I got taken with this fan account too - feels silly in this day and age - but I’m pleased that the news story had a happy ending. Day-Lewis was all “that’s not my instagram account, but I agree.”

I like listening to Christmas music, so I must ask - America, is Michael Bublé always about to die suddenly or something so we have to humor him about his music? Did he save the world in some secret way we’ll never know? Saudi funding?

It’s always the most blah, neutered rendition possible.

Felt I knew what I was getting into with Google’s “Year In Search” recap, absolutely expected the praising of AI and ignorance of Palestine, but was NOT prepared for the “inspiring” veneration of Charlie Kirk. Set to KPop Demon Hunters no less

Ooff. This trans joke on a 2017 episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine seems so dated now - because it's respectful and not punching down on them! And it's mad to think this was only 8 years ago but enough idiots we're triggered by the few years of jokes like this that they ushered Fascism back in

I saw HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS in a cinema tonight with an old friend and a brother who hadn’t seen it before, and let me tell you, I love movies in cinemas and my favorite thing to do is see movies in cinemas. I hope that continues.

I’ve had compilations of old Christmas commercials running all day on YouTube. It’s nice to get that nostalgic cheer of seeing pre-Trump-economy prices on things

Nathan Rabin was in a horrible accident and needs help. I’ve spent decades enjoying his film writing and I’m sure you’ve loved his work too, so let’s help him and his family!

I asked my wife if she wanted to watch the second episode of the new STRANGER THINGS, and she said no, she wasn’t really interested in the season premiere, and oh my Lord a weight has been lifted

The finest minds and most talented artists can’t ever seem to make green-screen footage of an actor pretending they’re outdoors look convincing.

I love PLURIBUS but I saw a rooftop scene that looked barely better than this.

Looking up PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES and I’m older than Steve Martin was when he made it, which feels impossible.

Laila Robins was 28 when she played a mother of three. Judd Nelson, who is the same age, was playing a teen in THE BREAKFAST CLUB just two years prior.

My wife has me watching a show called SMILING FRIENDS and one episode had me so anxious I was googling hotels in Brazil like it would somehow get the characters to stop arguing about it

BUGONIA was great, and I say that as someone who’s had SAVE THE GREEN PLANET! in their head for decades. Good stuff.

I get so gleeful when I hear Jessie Buckley’s laugh and roar, announcing the trailer for THE BRIDE!

Reminds me that big weird cinema still exists and movies are the best.

I will be horrified for the rest of the day.

This is the gift of knowing Josh.
I"I AM A RIVER, YOU ARE MY CANYON" when talking about jizzing in her mouth and calling it "HIS HARVEST." Ewwwwww.

so I took RFK's sexting-"poetry" to Olivia Nuzzi and thought, "What if this was the worst Willie Nelson song never released?
(please excuse my terrible, off-key Willie impression.)

The BATMAN-level blast of merch everywhere is bewildering to me.

I love the Dropkick Murphys because "Irish-American" + "gen X" + "punk rocker who's been at it for 30 years" should be the formula for the most racist guy alive but instead Ken Casey is constantly giving interviews where he's like "fascists are demons from hell and that's where they belong"
