CDC has been a global leader in public health & played a key role in smallpox eradication. Health depts in red states & blue states rely on CDC expertise & support. The CDC EIS program trains the next generation of public health leaders & disease detectives.

They are burning it to the ground.

The Trump admin is in the midst of laying off 1,100-1,200 HHS staff. The CDC's outbreak responders, gone. The office producing CDC's weekly journal MMWR is gone. CDC staff securing sensitive data, gone. Worker safety, gone. Immunization group, gone.

Instead, Congress watches RFK "make the proof"

Relatedly, I've learned a lot about the situation in Ethiopia from a friend who works on that. Their strongman ruler, PM Ahmed Abiy, is a monster who attacks his own people with drones and jails journalists and opposition leaders

Seriously. My own Mother is nearly 100 years old & she doesn't undergo "advanced imaging." Neither does my nearly 102 Uncle.
WHY would Trump need to undergo a PET scan, MRI or CT scan? What were Walter Reed doctors looking for or concerned about that required such "advanced imaging" tests?
