My family revitalizes abandoned homes, maintains them, and rents them fairly. I'm very proud of our work. We also play games of all descriptions, especially on a table. I like math and science most, but am interested in everything. He/Him/His

They say posting your art is the best thing to do here when you first start. My art is a card game called The House of Wisdom. It's about the amazing discoveries of the Islamic Golden Age; things that you know about, but maybe don't know where they came from.
Cards for the game artfully(?) laid out. What the game looks like when set up, minus players' hands. In a box! A crate full of boxes.

Hold office? They'll be lucky to get two hours in the yard once a month.

I want everyone benefiting from Trump's tax cuts to also be tried at Nuremberg 2.0. It's only, like, what, two hundred families or something stupid like that? Screw 'em, they can go down with this ship too.

No budget until Trump resigns.

He won't actually follow it anyway, so what's the point?

Then there's all the other impeachment worthy stuff, if he leaves we'll let it slide.

Promise🤞

Gee wiz, it's almost like we share a country and what's good for some of us is good for all of us and what's bad for some of us is bad for all of us. This idiot won't be happy until he sees everyone's voting slip and has the Harris voters shot. Which would be bad. For all of us.

They hate us for our freedom zones.

Heavy machinery in the driveway now doing something with the barricades, unsure what.

"Hey, that's my freedom zone!" someone shouts.

"Pizza is not land" sounds like the kind of philosophical statement college kids would have to write a paper on in the year 2500 because it has been discussed heatedly for five centuries.

I prefer “anti-fascist“ for a host of reasons and this is a nice practical one.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Disappearing immigrants is just practice for everyone else. Eventually it will be all undesirables, including anyone who disagrees with The Party. They're going to turn this into a Christian Nationalist country by getting rid of everyone else, including you and me.

Totally Accurate Goat Simulator: you are a realistic goat and everything you can climb on is marked in white. You are a realistic goat on a white background, that is all.

Once this nightmare is over and we start to rebuild, the damage done to our country and our way of life will still take decades to recover from. We are all weaker for it, and we will be for a very long time. This is just one example.

The nests of locally extinct vultures have in them (are partly made of) medieval artifacts like crossbow bolts. So dang cool.

Why agree to a budget bill that the president will ignore? Why even discuss it? He's blown his already infinitesimally small crumb of credibility. I don't want the government reopened until someone else is in charge, someone who takes their Constitutional responsibility seriously.

Absolutely not until he's been dead for 40 years. (At which point absolutely no one will want it.) He's welcome to start that clock any time he wants if he feels like giving it a shot.

CMU has laid off 10% of its Software Engineering Institute staff — 75 people. An administrator blamed the institute's “unique financial structure” which relies heavily on federal funding. CMU's president in August said that no broad layoffs were planned. buff.ly/pFbEvtc

Why? Who does that benefit? Overseas airbases are our thing.

It's probably like the overview effect. You know what Earth looks like. You know how far a hundred (or a quarter million) miles is. But somehow, actually seeing it is different and it changes you. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overvie...

Today is World Homeless Day, and after years reporting on this crisis, I'll just say: homelessness is neither inevitable nor intractable. It's the result of choices—political, economic, moral—that can be unmade.

And this: how we treat the unhoused is a bellwether for the violence we will tolerate.

This alone is impeachable.

Yeah, whatever you're thinking is probably right, but you do have *a lot* of options.
