I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Once this nightmare is over and we start to rebuild, the damage done to our country and our way of life will still take decades to recover from. We are all weaker for it, and we will be for a very long time. This is just one example.

Why agree to a budget bill that the president will ignore? Why even discuss it? He's blown his already infinitesimally small crumb of credibility. I don't want the government reopened until someone else is in charge, someone who takes their Constitutional responsibility seriously.

Today is World Homeless Day, and after years reporting on this crisis, I'll just say: homelessness is neither inevitable nor intractable. It's the result of choices—political, economic, moral—that can be unmade.

And this: how we treat the unhoused is a bellwether for the violence we will tolerate.
