i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”

basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

i feel that with my dad.

I was sitting outside at midnight at a bistro in Paris during the No Kings rallies in the USA, chatting over drinks with an Albanian, a Russian, an American ex-pat, and a native Parisian about the state of global political leadership.

There was a lot of laughing, agreeing, and apologizing.

I don't get why people keep investing their energy debating whether AI is "good" or "bad."

It's a fact of life now.

The next question is how we're each going to adapt.

We're all going to have to adapt.

All of us.

Inspiring and beautifully presented list by @garrettbucks.bsky.social of real things you can do right now, all by yourself, to start making a difference.
Thirty lonely but beautiful actions you can take right now which probably won't magically catalyze a mass movement against Trump but that are still wildly important
Why? Because others will see you do them, and it will make it easier for them to take their own (slightly less lonely but equally beautiful) action by your side
