If you want literature to exist you have to support it and that doesn't always mean you, personally, will pay. The more we USE our libraries the better they can justify their funding, and the more people they can serve.

I miss the old days when if you went to the profile of an artist you liked on instagram you could scroll through their art. Now it’s all videos where you have to wait for them to reveal it each time. I know why they do it but uhhhhh I just want to see your work!!

The most beautiful late autumn morning. Cool fresh air and bright sunshine. I saw my first redwing! It was so hard to get a photo as it was high up in an ash tree and swaying in the wind. Always exciting to see a new bird :D #PWNR #AvonBirds

I’m at the increasing the text size on my phone stage of getting old.

I only got new glasses a few months ago and they have the not-quite-varifocal lenses which were great but already don’t feel enough for reading my phone.

Maybe I should just throw my phone in the sea.

Vaccinations done. The pharmacist was clearly a massive fan of vaccines and was telling me all about how they make the flu one with eggs and where all the variants were from.

Also managed to get some far too expensive mittens that will fit over my wrist brace so I don’t freeze my hands

It shouldn't be rare for politicians to stand up for trans people but seeing this makes me feel maybe there's some hope. It's too late for all the trans people who have been lost but lets hope we can make this world better for the folks that are still here and still to come.
