C'mon, every Albertan knows the UCP is just the Wildrose Party rebranded. They are fanatics in every sense of the word.
This is NOT a Conservative Party. There are full
On separatist fascists.
The UCP AGM 2025 proposals show the party is going full MAGA.They are coming for abortion, DEI, Pride Flags, vaccines, and view kids as their property. This party is out of touch with reality.

Finally got around to watching The Battle of Algiers. What a fantastic film. No wonder both revolutionaries and government agencies have screened it for their people.

This is the Douglas Channel where Danielle Smith expects massive oil tankers to navigate oil safely from Kitimat to markets in Asia.
This is also where even ferries run aground in shallow water and high windspeeds FFS.
This is why we have a BC moratorium on oil tanker traffic.

Fun fact: Pete Hoekstra, the US Ambassador who berated Canada for “interfering” in their politics with the Regan anti-tariff ad...

Was accused of interfering in Dutch politics in his previous job of Ambassador to the Netherlands by holding a fundraiser for a Dutch far-right party at the US Embassy.
US ambassador under fire for hosting Dutch far-right bash

Tyson is closing a Nebraska plant that employs 3,200 workers in order to “right-size” its business.

The meatpacking giant paid its CEO $22.7M last year, 525x its median employee's pay.

It also spent $196M in stock buybacks to reward shareholders.

Textbook corporate greed.

I think may be time for a independent investigation into the Epstein Files.

There will be forensic evidence if they are tampered with.

Do you really think a Department of Justice that lies to judges about grand jury indictments is going to be open and honest about the Epstein Files?

A while ago, I was at the grocery store, and picked up one of the 2lb packs of store brand hamburger, and looked at the price. I sort of whispered under my breath "Jesus Christ.." and the people on each side of me looked up at the same time and said "I KNOW."

Just solidarity in the grocery store.

Heartbreaking to see millions in the Philippines forced to evacuate as another super typhoon hits.

These storms are stronger and more frequent because of the climate crisis. We need global solidarity and real action for climate resiliency and recovery.

Sometimes conversations with fellow workers can surprise you, especially when you live in a very conservative anti communist part of the country. Had a conversation with a Philipino coworker where he came out in support of the Green Book of Gaddafi. Was not expecting that.
