I hate to think what boys and young men are learning from watching such behavior and how it makes girls and young women. Parents need to teach that this is not acceptable.
Tweet by Marlow Stern (@MarlowNYC) saying: “This is gross,” quote-tweeting Aaron Rupar. The embedded Rupar tweet reads: “Trump ignores a question from a woman reporter but says, ‘I just like to watch her talk. Good job. Thank you darling.’” Below is a photo of Donald Trump seated, speaking at a table with flags behind him, and captioned “Thank you, darling. I don’t know.”

Racist language allegedly used by leaders of Young Republican groups in leaked chats drew widespread condemnation from both sides of the political aisle and prompted the national youth organization to demand the resignations of those involved.

JD Vance can dismiss the Young Republicans as a college group chat.

But let's be clear: the group chat includes a State Senator, a Trump Admin official, and multiple Republican staffers — and some of the worst comments came from folks associated with Mike Johnson, Elise Stefanik, and Mike Lawler.

AZ AG Mayes: If I have to, I’ll take Speaker Johnson to court. There's no legitimate reason for him to refuse to swear her in right now. And it's not fair for Mike Johnson to be holding the state of Arizona hostage because he doesn't want to release the Epstein files.

To be clear:

LA County has declared a state of emergency BECAUSE OF the federal government.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.

Congressional Democrats marched to Mike Johnson’s office demanding that he swear in Democrat Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva, who would become the crucial 218th signature on the discharge petition to release the Epstein files.

Just FYI, I pay $4/month for my NYT subscription. It's a 12 month offer and before it expires I cancel, then they give me the same offer again. A few times I missed the date and paid the regular price for one month, like $20 maybe, which I'm fine with bc I get so much value out of it.

Unbelievable. Madness. Every 'normal' Republican is getting fired now. For the whims of a mentally ill - malignant narcissist and sociopath - criminal. Who unfortunately happens to have been elected president.

Unless and until some kind of compelling legal and moral argument is presented as to why this is a legitimate use of deadly force, this is just…mass murder.

Great response from Kathy Hochul. She's absolutely right, any Republican who doesn't condemn the messages shouldn't be allowed in the party. (Don't expect a word from Trump unless it's to support them... but he's sick)

Q: Politico reported on a group chat of young Republicans. Does this just reflect some bad apples?

HOCHUL: Some bad apples? These are the future of the GOP. This is so vile it's hard to find the words to put into context ... there's gotta be consequences ... this bullshit has to stop.
