EXCITING NEWS: yesterday, I submitted the manuscript for my first book to Baylor University Press. Tentatively titled “Intellectual Disability and the Christian Life,” this book is an attempt to give language to the ongoing Christian witness of people with intellectual disabilities.
Slobodian calls this crack-up capitalism.
Peter Thiel has been open about this for a long time. Trump is a way to break the republic, which can then be replaced by “free economic zones” with oligarchs as dictators and tech as a taskmaster for helpless humans without any rights. (1/2)
Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.

Accidentally just spent 45 minutes lecturing on a single, basic sentence from Ellul.

The sentence in question? “So then, what is the Good according to the Bible?”

Conspiracy theory is a caricatured, reductionist way to analyze and narrate power exercised in the material world. Rejecting conspiracy theory does not mean denying the complex, the veiled, or the existence of evil itself.

One thing I still haven’t come to terms with three years into the job is that I need to make new lectures for every class each time I teach a new course.

I wonder if the American collapse could’ve been avoided if they hadn’t decided to use ounces to refer to both mass and volume?

The first specialty coffee shop to set up on Pembina south of Jubilee (preferably north of McGillivray, but beggars can’t be choosers) is going to make a lot of money off of me.

I would also be interested in hearing what people’s plans are.
Soooooooo, anyone thinking of going to #AARSBL #SBLAAR? I'm fence sitting a bit but I'd be interested in putting together a panel or roundtable on near-miss, apocalyptic, and post-apocalyptic SFF.
