This is an unusually confused piece of writing from the FT.
Roughly:
- all these experts say Trump is a fascist, but I found one book that says he’s not so that’s probably right.
- there’s a long checklist of things he’s done that are fascist, but he hasn’t done everything Hitler’s way, so he’s not

I'm not 70, but the new licence rulings seem unfair on post-70's in the light of the statistics. Why doesn't it apply to everyone if younger drivers are highest-risk group?

Happy 2026! To start the year, here's a tree ring chiton, a 5cm ocean mollusk that sticks to rocks. Instead of having obvious eyes on a head, it's got 100s of tiny eyes embedded in the hard plates on its back, each with a rock crystal to focus light. Its top is one big eye spying on the world above
