Winston Howes lost his wife. He planted thousands of oak trees in a six-acre field

Once it was completed he put a seat in the field, overlooking the hill near where she used to live. He didn't tell anyone

Many congratulations to Dr Alex Langlands & team from Swansea for this stunning new discovery from Margam Park in south Wales 😮🥳.

The coastal belt in south Wales is very heavily ploughed, but it sounds like this villa complex has been preserved below old parkland 👌

Margam park Roman villa find could be 'Port Talbot's Pompeii'
The largest Roman villa ever found in Wales lies less than a metre under Margam Country Park.

This is an unusually confused piece of writing from the FT.

Roughly:
- all these experts say Trump is a fascist, but I found one book that says he’s not so that’s probably right.
- there’s a long checklist of things he’s done that are fascist, but he hasn’t done everything Hitler’s way, so he’s not

“In 2022, drivers aged between 17-24 were involved in 25,698 road accidents, despite representing a far smaller group of licence holders. By contrast, those over 85 years - frequently cited as the highest risk group - were involved in just 979 accidents”
I'm not 70, but the new licence rulings seem unfair on post-70's in the light of the statistics. Why doesn't it apply to everyone if younger drivers are highest-risk group?

Outrageous.

Ministers should be listening to scientists, frontline communities and those working towards a green transition – not hosting the interests of oil giants in their own offices.

All he needs do to clear this up is to publish the relevant documentation.

The PM and Foreign Secretary should be condemning this illegal strike and breach of international human rights law.

After years of arming a genocide and worshipping the “special relationship”, Trump now believes he can act with impunity.

But ever more people are now helping the wild return, through *rewilding*.

No matter who you are or where you live, you too have a part to play in the fight.
