I joined Twitter 16 years ago, but (literally) never posted anything. I got enough enjoyment reading everyone else's posts.

I joined BlueSky a few months ago, planning to post but avoid politics (who needs the extra stress?)

I cannot in good conscience stay silent any longer.

Yep. The corollary to that is "if we don't quarantine an outbreak quickly and where it occurs, then it definitely won't spread to the United States."

I just watched the video of the Portland Cop threatening to arrest an ICE agent if they drive their truck through a crowd. Now I see this where the General of the Oregon National Guard says if they get called up they will protect the protesters. People are fed up.

Uneducated poor people were falling further behind and growing in number.

They became MAGA and elected Trump in a desperate attempt to stop the slide. He's a hand grenade. Destruction is the point.

I suppose it seemed much easier to them than improving education and wealth distribution.

My first thought was insider trading by a Trump acquaintance but, to be fair, it could have been insider trading by China.

China could easily have predicted that if they announced export controls on rare earth elements, that Trump would threaten to retaliate and thus tank markets.

Maybe both.

Vance doesn't have the personality to enthrall your run-of-the-mill MAGA, which means his threats to primary members of Congress will have little effect, and they will push back hard to distance themselves from any association with Trump and his circle.

(come election time, remember all the Democrats that voted for the Trump supported crypto bill).

I know our DOJ won't do an investigation...hell, I wouldn't be surprised if it was their account...but maybe Interpol?

As if you could trust the CDC to function ever since Trump installed his people at the top of it. Besides, they don't make the vaccines.

Trump is the greater threat right now and the Epstein files may help reduce that threat.

Trump being elected is like a toddler finding Thanos' glove...he suddenly got more power than he deserves, uses it in the most childish ways imaginable, and it will destroy him in the end (unfortunately along with a lot of innocent people).
