As far as I can tell, RFK Jr.'s latest antivax stunt runs counter to the WMA Declaration of Helsinki. Withholding HepB vaccination clearly does not meet any definition of clinical equipoise. Doing it anyway, overseas, is straight up colonialist medicine.

Sometimes, viruses don't have to be the bad guys...
Sometimes we can use one to treat another!

Chuffed to present excellent work from Dr Samantha Garcia-Cardenas showing how the innate immune system can be "rewired" by a benign Reovirus to eliminate SARS2 infection.

Oncolytic Reovirus mediates innate-driven SARS-CoV-2 elimination in the absence of cell toxicity
Interplay between type I interferon (IFN) driven innate responses and viral antagonism strongly influences SARS-CoV-2 transmission and the COVID-19 disease course. Hence, variant adaptation includes d...

The international community has abandoned Palestinian children to face alone the brutality and savagery of the IOF.

Jewish soldiers detained 5 Palestinian kids at the request of illegal “Havat Maon” Jewish settlers.

The kids' crime? Gathering wild vegetables.

Shame on all of us.

Why does professional always mean conforming to confident masculine culture?

Screw that.

“Professional” is getting your job done. What’s not professional is thinking someone isn’t good at their job because they use emojis! 😤

Communication evolves, and the trajectory is to the less formal.

I'm a 6 ft cis woman who looks like the back end of a bus. My first experience of being challenged using the women's toilets was aged 16 (I don't remember it because it happens so often, but my friend who was with me does). This was in the late 70s... We have a whole new generation of nastiness now.

Great reporting by @emorwee.bsky.social & @greenmirandahere.bsky.social on why celebrity chefs are fighting PFAS bans. It's a great peek into the nefarious world of industry-driven (100% unethical) PR campaigns that Big Oil, Big Tobacco, and Big Opioid CEOs have been exploiting for decades.
Why are famous chefs fighting PFAS bans?
The answer, in retrospect, is obvious—and it’s part of a larger campaign to stop bans on Teflon cookware nationwide.
