BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

And, of course, this can only happen in a broader climate of neglect.

This is as much, if not more, an institutional as an individual problem. As an individual, you know your institution does not really want you to report (sexual) harassment, as they want to protect their reputation.
One of the giants of social psychology was a serial sexual harasser.

This new report reveals how Miles Hewstone touched, bullied, and sexual harassed numerous women during his 18 years at the University of Oxford. It's amazing how often bullying and sexual harassment go together in academia.

Having once supported a student against a colleague for (not sexual) harassment, I can tell you that it is a very stressful and tiring process. The colleague will hate and smear you and the university will at best pay lip service, but do little to actually support you.
