So I've been gifted an Audible credit. In the mood for some relaxing fantasy - not twee-cosy or romantasy, but good to enjoy in the warm of a winter's evening.

Any suggestions? (Not PTerry, I've heard them all!)

(Unless you'd rather we didn't)

And if you're buying them as gifts - DM and tell us who you're gifting them for and we'll add in any message you fancy :)

If you're planning on shopping during black Friday or cyber Monday, why not consider supporting artists, writers, creators? Buy a book, purchase an indie video game, commission an art piece, gift someone a Patreon. Your support means everything.

I love reading, writing and reviewing (ie screaming about books I've enjoyed).

I learned how to DNF. I want to enjoy every book. I always try to be kind with feedback; every book is an author's creation.

But a current ARCs lives in my head as The Stupid Vampire Hunter Book - and I love it 😂

Imagine working on a project for years and having someone steal it. And then boast about that, or try to justify it. No - you're a thief. You stole an author's hard work. Libraries exist, you have no excuse.
I see it's the seasonal argument about why piracy to fuck over Amazon and publishers is okay while many authors live below the poverty line.

Also the DVD extras show him camping about in his shiny boxer shorts and vampire makeup.

He loved life and acting, and shared that so generously. Rest well, sir.

My favourite Udo Kier performance is a little-known movie called 'Revenant' (or 'Modern Vampires'). The director, Danny Elfman's brother Richard, called Udo and asked if he'd like to be k*lled in his vampire movie - he got an enthusiastic YES!

Sometimes I really do wonder if I still want to be in this world, and everything it's become 😞

I just wish there was more kindness.

Don't you think a Victorian gothic ghost story would be a great addition to the recent lineup of successful gothic period pieces like Frankenstein and Nosferatu? Something about a woman tossing aside societal standards for independence? In a remote seaside manor? With two giant dogs??? Yeah, me too.

The world is difficult these days, and folk walking the walk to help others are very much needed. We're all doing our best to get through life, and sometimes support is needed. As I always say, I do my best (even if I do sometimes feel like the Vicar of Dibley!) 😂

Much love, friends x

Feeling a bit philosophical this evening. I've been Priesting for about 20 years now, and every time I step up still feels like a huge privilege. It's also wonderful to see others inspired to do likewise.
