I have restarted work on the GE NEP crewed Mars mission post. After all the turmoil this past month, it's like meeting with an old friend.

My goal is to finish the post by Halloween.

Here is the scale of the coronal hole moving to face Earth in the coming days compared with the size of Earth itself. It's a decently-sized coronal hole, but not exceptionally large by any means. Still, it may spark minor to moderate geomagnetic storming this week! Stay tuned...

PLATO’s epic journey from Germany 🇩🇪 to @esa.int’s ESTEC! 🚛 🏗️ 🚢

Too big for standard transport, the PLATO space telescope travelled 900km by country road and giant ship. Now at ESTEC, it’s gearing up for testing – including in Europe’s largest vacuum chamber – to prep for its mission to space! 🌌🔭

🛰️ The biggest spacecraft to cruise to Mars will need a powerful push to enter orbit. @esa.int’s Earth Return Orbiter will rely on the thrust of its Orbit Insertion Module to perform this critical manoeuvre.

This is an interesting feature that appears to be a large anticline that is crosscut by wrinkle ridges. Anticlines are folded rock formations that have an upwards convex shape.

This new catalogue of dust devils gives us a much clearer picture of the Red Planet’s weather and climate.

But besides pure science, it will also be useful for planning future missions, like dealing with the irksome dust that settles on the solar panels of our robotic rovers.

TRUMP: Suspending who?

Q: Habeas corpus

The only correct take on a fundamentally anti-human technology.

SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.
