David Gentile's commutation erases his restitution and fines he was sentenced to for running a billion dollar Ponzi scheme. My story today delves into how a Russian mafia-linked tycoon's money was seemingly involved from the earliest days of the Ponzi company.

Of course there’s a fucking point to getting angry at organisations dropping trans people out of fear. It should be shameful and they should be confronted with our feelings of anger and betrayal. To pretend we do this instead of targeting the court government sex matters etc is disingenuous bullshit

Spot-on! The majority of children for whom English is not their first language...speak English fluently! And even if they don't, they are welcome and detract nothing from our culture.
It doesn't matter what language you speak at home, or on your first day at school - if you live in Glasgow, Glasgow is your home. Farage and co think multilingualism is somehow a bad thing. I know, firsthand, that it's a strength.

- They can't afford a big payout
- it's not the payout, it's the fees
- not the initial fees but JKR will plunge her entire £1bn fortune into destroying the beloved Guides
- it's not the cost or potential outcome, it's what I assert the charity commission will do.
Any more excuses with no evidence?

The irony of Nigel Farage complaining that oor bairns in Glasgow don't speak English by an English Nationalist 🙄

Pal, Scotland is another country and English was never oor original language so the fact oor bairns are bilingual is fecking braw, especially if it pishes you off

Can I let you in on a little secret?

Billionaire philanthropy isn’t charity.

It’s PR to distract you from low wages, labor exploitation, and a tax system that’s rigged for the rich.

I’m beginning to believe Nigel Farage may well be the next UK PM.

The fact the media are giving him a pass for hissing into the ears of his Jewish schoolmates makes me think it’s already decided.

No other politician of any party survives that.

We need out this Union.

So your "toxic attitude" and "culture of fear" drove off the customers. Turns out all that Apprentice/Dragons Den posturing is a pile of shite. Who'd have thought it?

To be clear, WI and GG trustees will have been told they faced personal liability including bankruptcy for breaching fiduciary duty by involving their organizations in legal proceedings they might well lose.

They should be publicly fucking angry and uncivilised about the people responsible.

I would just like to add that the best way to achieve permanent full employment is via a Job Guarantee that sets the minimum wage & labor standards against which the private sector must compete

And that government funded public goods & services sets the floor price of whatever public good

So lawmakers need to repeat one core truth: PAY IS A POLICY CHOICE, and real affordability comes not just from lowering prices where possible, but from raising wages so that working people earn enough to cover the costs of living with dignity and security. 16/

If you are a member of the WI why? They are hate supporters. Leaves these awful organisations and tell your friennds what staying in them means they are condoning.
Apparently the decision of the WI to rescind trans inclusion was prompted in part by an internal faction. If I were a cis member of the WI, I would want those bigots named, shamed and shunned.

Aggressively promoting transphobia should have social sanctions applied to it.

For most of the last 45 years, employers (enabled by policy makers) have suppressed the wages of working people so that corporate managers and owners could claim an ever-larger share of the income generated by what workers produce. 6/

I get that twee, derivative books might remind you of your children at a young age. But there's absolutely no need to base your entire identity on them as an adult.
It’s frightening that it only takes one sinister, undertaxed billionaire and a tiny minority can be so easily demonised and dehumanised. Maybe people will learn when it’s their turn to be on the receiving end of this. Of course it will be too late by them.
