This post from Canada reminded me of the rabid response that followed the public smoking ban in the US. The outcry from smokers who could no longer drench my lungs and clothes in their chosen brand of cigarette smoke was fierce, but It provides hope that we will find a solution to our gun problem.
I lived thru the end of public smoking. Early in my career I presented to city councils who were smoking, in front of audiences who were smoking.

All of that seems insane now, but it was very controversial when we DID change it.
We CAN change things.

"The Hat Company:" bought one of those headlamp touques from Passages on @bcferries.bsky.social & the battery sack suddenly popped open & inflated like a balloon while charging. Next time on the ferry they said they both owned one, works fine. These exploding Temu-touques sit like 1" from the eyes

I am trying to describe the BC Ostrich Cult Convoy to our 12-week-old and he wont stop spitting up. This as we want to take him to see his 102-y-o great grandpa in Edmonton but AB is so backward that it soured North America's measels-free designation. And he can't get vaxxed till 6 months.
