Trump looks more and more like he’s not going to make it to 2028

Unfortunately, the same can be said for America in general

"What will you do when ICE comes to your door?" is not something I'm worried about. I am ready for that.

"What will you do while you're trying to get through a normal day with all this fascism about?" is a much harder question. Doing the needful is difficult when everything is afire.

when ICE asks you questions about your neighbors, you've never met your neighbors in your life. you've never even seen them from afar. neighbors? what neighbors?
ICE is targeting Hmong families in St. Paul as they go door to door looking for people to kidnap. they’re asking “do you have any Asian neighbors”

Scott Adams dying at 68 rather than 69 is the perfect capstone to a life of being almost — but not quite — funny

Tell someone in 1986 that in 2026 People is the one going hard about the news while the NYT is being soft and fluffy and they would and they would be shocked, and not just because you traveled 40 years back in time just to tell them this instead of warning them about Trump

I guess we're all learning the words to "A las Barricadas" now
The sign on Kristi Noem's podium reads "One of ours, all of yours." The reader will recall that this was a fascist rallying cry in the Spanish Civil War. What it means is that one of "our" people is worth all of "your" people.

Packers win, they play the Hawks

Bears win, Hawks will have an NFC West play-in, but the Packers lose in a humiliating way

Congrats to the GOP on managing to get America a mad king despite every founding document of this nation saying “no kings, especially not mad ones, and we mean NO kings”
Trump told NYT that his power as commander in chief is constrained only by his "own morality" — brushing aside international law and other legitimate checks on his abilities.

"My own morality. My own mind. It's the only thing that can stop me."

"I don't need international law."

Just a reminder that you can’t pardon someone from losing a civil case, e.g. a wrongful death lawsuit

And wrongful death lawsuits are what destroy cops’ careers and PD’s budgets far more than our cop-biased criminal justice system
