Smith was booed at the UCP AGM in Edmonton which makes Albertans, at least the UCP variety, seem perverse. Get what they said they want and they boo!

It will take some time to wean ourselves off it completely…

…the PM’s plan is to produce and export the lowest ‘emissions from extraction and production’ oil and gas in the world during its phase out and transition to cleaner energy…

It will create jobs and GDP throughout that transition…

It must have been incredibly difficult for Prime Minister Carney to bring forward the MOU with AB given his past climate action involvement. Rock and hard place. He has my sympathy on that one.
Living on the coast, of course I don't want to see it go forward and hope it doesn't.

It’s kind of amazing that over the course of just a few years the “light” web has become just as dangerously filled with lies and villainy as the “dark” web. Even more dangerous maybe, since you knew exactly what you were in on the dark side and many people on the light side still trust.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

Remember when people thought he wasn't good at politics? www.nationalobserver.com/2025/11/27/o...

CBC is digging into the Carney–Smith pipeline deal. One million barrels a day and a lot of political theatre. CBC is asking the real question: climate impact.

Is this a step forward, or just the same old pieces rearranged while we ignore the environmental cost?

Also “only with private funding”…. Which doesn’t exist

Nothing about this will become a real pipeline

PM Carney almost appologized in the House today for having said "who cares" which he called "a poor choice of words". Meanwhile, the rest of Canada is getting ready to print it on T shirts and mugs. Many seem happy that he said it in the 1st place. I guess he'll have some 'splainin to do to DT.
