Just spitballing here, but I think the founders probably wouldn't have approved of a President putting the entirety of a highly militarized federal government on a war footing against a state because he didn't like how they voted in the last election. But I'm sure John Roberts knows what he's doing.

Retired cop here. Having been in a few highly stressful tactical situations, and seen other people's reactions, the normal response should be more along the lines of "oh fuck what the fuck just happened," rather than "fucking bitch" and walking away.
