Editors, I'm heading to Gamescom this year for the first time since 2022, and I'd love to interview devs and preview games for you! Email is in bio and DMs are open. If any writers want to meet up too shoot me a DM!
Pretty substantial moment. We are seeing the two longest-reigning and main parties slowly getting phased out of existence because of their own irrelevant ideas. What a time.

To be honest, this will probably find a solid audience based on the gameplay, especially because SMITE feels like it has fallen into a black hole and off the face of the Earth. Whether it does well enough for NetEase though is another story.

Videogamer's new logo a screaming exclamation mark on the 'support independent games media' argument. Legitimately thought this was someone taking the piss when it was first posted in a discord, but no, it's on the site. You have to laugh (or else you'll cry)
If Little Nightmares 3 disapointed you, then Reanimal's demo on Steam is well worth a play. The true sequel you have been waiting for.
It's honestly fascinating how they make the game. Feel like a lot more could be done with that method in other games.
Played the steam demo amd I dont think anything is gonna beat this for "vibe of the year"
OMG it finally happened. In reality once they tested the waters there was no going back but to see a full reversal on SBMM is crazy. What a time to be alive.
God this would have been so good. 1700s-1800s AC games are some of the best.
SCOOP: Last year, Ubisoft cancelled an Assassin's Creed game set during Reconstruction. Was to feature a Black Assassin who, among other things, fought the rise of the Klan

Sources: Leadership nixed it over concerns re: U.S. political climate, backlash to Yasuke

As someone who was very excited about the idea of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, after seeing it I can't remember the last time something has fallen so flat. Dismal stuff and the script is truly remarkable in the worst way.

Rapidly losing any excitement or interest in anything and debating whether or not this down to the state of the world or because I am in my mid 20s.
Truly fascinating that this censoring of the game name was even a thing. Makes you wonder how it happened and if there is any genuine concern from big publishers that the game will take away a significant slice of their revenue.
You can't type "Arc Raiders" into Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta's in-game chat, but you are allowed to talk about Battlefield 6

I think the amount of AI videos I am seeing, now this Sora 2 thing has come out will be the thing that finally makes me crashout. Proper dystopian shit and basically no government seems to care about it.
These low/no SBMM playlists in Black Ops 7 are incredible. Takes me back to the BO2 days
Anyway, will probably just keep listening to the Doja Catt album cause that is non-stop excellence
A few more listens into The Life of a Showgirl. When it is on in the background, the prod/sound feels way less jarring. But, the writing is pretty rough, probably because the best art is often made in times of suffering, and Taylor basically has everything she has ever wanted now
Only songs here that really stood out was Opalite, Father Figure, and Ruin The Friendship. Maybe the title track too but everything else felt rather forgettable on first listen.
One listen through the new Taylor album and it is a REALLY weird vibe. Very obvious everything here is a role-playing exercise more than anything. Curious if it will grow on me, but is is fascinating to get an album from her that doesn't feel ripped out of her diary or life.
Black Ops 7 is explosion hell. Bangs going off ever 3 seconds.
Thinking about how this is probably my favourite boss fight in any game ever. From Software hasn't ever reached this level of orchestrated cinematic action since.

Incredibly sad and another loss for the UK game industry.

That bottom bullet point equates to "Do free shit for our country and maybe we'll let you stay, but we may not".
