Trump and Putin are thick as thieves. Trump is a traitor to the U.S. . If the Venezuelan VP is in Russia, the Trump regime flew her there.

Excellent piece from FT's Editorial board- www.ft.com/content/7385... "What was startling was the casual manner in which Trump later announced that America would for now “run” Venezuela, and his brazen declaration that US oil companies would “go in” and take over the oil industry"
Donald Trump’s reckless intervention in Venezuela
Few will mourn Maduro’s ousting, but its manner sets a dangerous precedent

Country 9 in global oil reserves has invaded country 1 and arrested its president. Country 7 is under sanctions and its refineries are being destroyed. Country 2 is facing off with country 6. And there are riots in country 3. But oil is only $60/bbl. Maybe oil is not as critical as it used to be?

This clip doesn't fully capture what Starmer says about his plan to do "sector by sector agreements". Main problem is that it cannot then take a holistic view and overall gains that comes with Rejoining EU or at very least Custom Union

I understand why he feels that he has to say this publicly, given Trump's propensity for lashing out vindictively at those he sees as disloyal. I hope that the UK govt is hedging frantically in private: it may not be in our national interest to weaken the relationship, but Trump is doing it anyway.
Keir Starmer: "I constantly remind myself that 24/7 our defence, our security & our intelligent relationship with the US matters probably more than any other relationship we've got in the world and it would not be in our national interest to weaken that in any way"

Morals aside, how is it remotely possible that Shadow Attorney General — and a serving member of the UK legislature, of any political affiliation — can lawfully take on work representing a Russian oligarch sanctioned by the UK government?
The Tories’ Shadow Attorney General, Lord Wolfson, is representing Roman Abramovich in a legal case that is delaying the transfer of £2.5bn of assets to benefit the people of Ukraine.

I’ve written to Kemi Badenoch about the conflicts of interest this raises. 👇

MAGA like to say there's no evidence implicating Trump in sexual crimes with Epstein. That's a lie. There is direct evidence, like this affidavit from a civil case that was dismissed when the girl got death threats against her.

Trump can attack the credibility of the accusations, but they exist.
