Carney gave a great, fundamental speech in Davos.
Unfortunately it wasn't simple-minded and it didn't cater to idiots - but our PM is one of the very few people in the world who understand what has happened over the past year and are in a position to influence it.
Please give it a listen.

An insane timeline.
"Canada does not have the number of military personnel or the sophisticated equipment needed to fend off a conventional American attack. So the military envisions unconventional warfare in which small groups of irregular military or armed civilians would resort to ambushes, sabotage, drone warfare…"
Military models Canadian response to hypothetical American invasion
Armed Forces envision insurgency tactics like those used by Afghan mujahedeen, sources say. But officials and experts stress a U.S. operation is unlikely, and the scenarios are conceptual

Pretty much how it always goes with schoolyard bullies like Trump, and they know it.

A bully can harass and torment you for as long as they like.

The teachers will do nothing.

The moment you snap and tell them to "fuck off", though?

“Oh no, we don’t do that here. We must abide by the rules.” 🙄

IT HAS TO STOP!

They need all protestors to be paid operatives because they cannot abide the possibility that somewhere in the world, people sincerely believe in standing up for others. It isn’t enough that they’ve chased all moral virtue from their own hearts. They want a world where no virtue exists in anyone.
Trump on Renee Good: "When she was shot, there was another woman that was screaming 'Shame. Shame Shame Shame.' So loud. Like a professional opera singer. She was so loud. And so professional. She wasn't a woman that was hurt like, 'Oh my heart is injured.' She was a professional."

The “seismic” geopolitical shocks currently taking place should push the EU to “change permanently” and seize an opportunity to build a “new independent Europe,” Ursula von der Leyen has said in a veiled rebuke to U.S. President Donald Trump.

People should've and would've been talking about Anniversary. But Apparently Lionsgate buried it because of Charlie Kirk, for fear of being seen as critical of authoritarianism. If I can persuade a few of you to watch it, I'll have done something.

Where are the discussions about invoking the 25th Amendment? Where are the cabinet members and senators confronting this dangerous reality? Are these cowards and sycophants going to just stand by if and when he pursues war with Europe?
Gosh, if only there were a constitutional mechanism for removing a president who is mentally ill and unfit to hold office.

Brave Danish troops. They'll be wiped out if the world's biggest asshole decides to attack, thus provoking a war against Europe and possibly WW III - all for Greenland, which has never threatened the mighty US in any way.

Someone put this madman in a straitjacket before it's too late.
The Danes are not fooling around.
Footage shows Danish troops arriving in Greenland as part of a new military deployment. Among the personnel who landed on the island is Major General Peter H. Boysen, Chief of the Danish Army Command. #Greenland

How often do we employ logic in the USA?

There are approx 2M unauthorized immigrants in Texas. There is NO surge of ICE Agents.

There are approx 100k unauthorized immigrants in Minnesota, we have a surge of 3k ICE Agents IN ONE CITY.

You are expecting logic? Here's the logic: Minnesota is a Democratic state. The Orange Excrescence is imposing martial law(lessness) and an occupying force to terrify and punish those who dare to vote Democratically. Immigration is a smokescreen. Brown people are first - anyone else second.

Something anecdotal - but heard from a friend who I thought leaned somewhat “right” today, she told me that she would do anything to make it stop, to end Trump — she wants the chaos to end.

My larger point is, never shut up, always speak truth to power, even ppl who may have leaned trump want out!
